Announcement: implementing a security system

IU Library would like to inform its clients about a new automatic system operating on the 1^st Floor of the Library from March 2016 (photo). The new system is going to enhance the efficiency of book-checkout service, and thus is expected to improve the satisfaction of Library users; This system also improves the security capacity of the Library in cases where non-processed items are borrowed without checking out.

This system requires library patrons to follow some instructions:

• Library users should contact librarian to check out or return materials
• Please follow the walking paths between the gate arranged
• If the alarm is on when you are walking in/out, please go to the Circulation Desk for checking
• Please do not touch the security gates
